Crop Production

In the AGRO - Měřín, a.s. the land is being cultivated:

• in the conventional mode on the 9.600 hectares of the agricultural land, from which 7.500 makes up the arable land and the rest permanent grass areas,
• in the eco-mode on the 2.500 hectares, from which 950 hectares makes up the arable land and the rest permanent grass areas.

 

The cultivated land is situated in:

• the production corn-area from 120 to 190 metres above the sea level (area of Mikulovsko, Drnholecko and in the South Moravia),

• the main part in the potato-growing region from 490 to 610 metres above the sea level (area of Měřínsko, Žďársko, Novoměstsko in the Vysočina region, Svratecko and Hlinecko),

• a part of the land trenches up to the forage crop areas 760 metres above the sea level (higher parts of the area of Žďárské vrchy and Šumpersko).

The crop production is feed-crops-growing-oriented to supply the fodder base AGROMERIN and is complemented with the commercial-crops-growing: consumer potatoes, wheat for food-processing industry, malting barley and rape plant.
